Kick-Ass Female Characters in Manga: Madame Red

I can’t say too much about Madame Red without giving away too many spoilers for the Jack the Ripper story arc in Kuroshitsuji, but trust me that she is a woman with mission, and she will do anything to get what she wants.

 

How does she fit into the story?

-she’s one of the rare examples of a female medical doctor in Victorian England

-she’s a socialite who loves a good party

-she’s the aunt of Ciel Phantomhive (oh I wish Ciel could be my nephew)

-Grelle Sutcliffe is her butler (I’d love Grelle as my butler, teehee)

 

The scene where we get Madame Red’s back story is one of my favorites in Kuroshitsuji, as is a certain scene of hers in a church where there are red rose petals floating about. Again, I can’t say too much, but it’s absolutely beautiful!
